All elections matter. Too often, the Tories or Reform win because people like us don't show up.

VOTING TOGETHER GIVES US MORE POLITICAL POWER

Millions of people could vote tactically at this year's elections. A big proportion of voters showing up mainly to prevent the right from seizing power. Register as a tactical voter by joining the Movement Forward and we can prove it. Then together we'll tell the new government how they truly can earn our votes next time.

You can vote for 1 candidate here

We've manually set advice for this division. This advice is directed to which party is best placed to defeat a challenge from Reform and advises merely that the SNP should be ranked higher than Reform, and included in preferences. Our analysis indicates that the SNP candidate is most likely to be the last one eliminated against a strong Reform challenge. The analysis is primarily based on the first preference votes and transfer pattern from the last time this 4-member ward was fought under STV (a proportional electoral system using ranked preference) on these boundaries in the 2022 local elections, having considered the parties who are standing this time. In 2022, the SNP and Labour both won two seats. We cannot display that result here, but the SNP would have won had the votes been counted as if for one seat.

Vote counts missing for Scottish elections

Sorry, we aren't yet able to show vote counts for Scottish elections because they are STV (Single Transferable Vote) and so work differently to the First Past the Post system used elsewhere in the UK. However please rest assured it's on our list to fix this!

In the mean time, you can find the relevant information in the explainer text next to this section.
