All elections matter. Too often, the Tories or Reform win because people like us don't show up.

VOTING TOGETHER GIVES US MORE POLITICAL POWER

Millions of people could vote tactically at this year's elections. A big proportion of voters showing up mainly to prevent the right from seizing power. Register as a tactical voter by joining the Movement Forward and we can prove it. Then together we'll tell the new government how they truly can earn our votes next time.

Tactical Advice Explainer

(Stranraer and the Rhins ward)

You can vote for 1 candidate here

We've manually set advice for this ward. Having considered the candidates who are standing this time, this advice is based on the result of the 2022 Council Elections, when the Tories won 2 of the 4 seats and came top on first preferences, and the SNP and an Independent were a distant second and third on first preferences. The Independent running his time is not as well known, and Reform are a clear threat in this seat, with a danger that the SNP may be eliminated before Reform and the Tories. We urge Green, Lib Dem and Labour supporters to vote SNP as a first preference to help eliminate Reform at an earlier stage, or at the very least to make sure they give a preference for the SNP (and not Reform of course).

Vote counts missing for Scottish elections

Sorry, we aren't yet able to show vote counts for Scottish elections because they are STV (Single Transferable Vote) and so work differently to the First Past the Post system used elsewhere in the UK. However please rest assured it's on our list to fix this!

In the mean time, you can find the relevant information in the explainer text next to this section.
