Having considered the candidates who are running this time, this advice is based on the election result the last time this ward was fought on these boundaries in the 2022 Caerphilly Council Elections when Reform came top ahead of Labour. However since then Reform has emerged as a major threat and is likely to have overtaken Labour in the contest for this seat, made vacant by the election of Plaid’s former Councillor Lindsay Whittle to the Senedd in the recent Caerphilly by-election.
