Having considered the candidates who are running this time and the result the last time this ward was fought on practically the same boundaries) in the Borough Council elections in May 2023 where the Green candidate (a former independent) won from Tories, we consider that the Greens are best placed to stop Reform in this contest. Reform won the Kent County Council division in May 2025 with the Greens and Labour both doing badly, although this covers several other wards (where the Greens are not competitive).
